AI Should Move Faster. Humans Need to Move With It.

AI adoption is accelerating.

The central question is no longer simply whether people and organisations will use AI. It is how people move with it as it becomes part of everyday work, services and decision-making.

Efficiency matters. But efficiency alone does not tell us whether a transition is working well for people.

A transformation can be technically successful while reducing opportunities to learn, experiment, make decisions or contribute.

That gives us another set of questions worth asking.

Who gets to experiment with these tools?

Who learns how they work?

Who gets to shape how they are used?

And as AI takes on more tasks, what new opportunities are we creating for people to build, decide and contribute?

Policy can benefit from signals coming from real environments: workplaces, communities, education, public services and the many places where people are already adapting to AI.

Not only from what we think AI might do, but from observing what actually changes when it becomes part of everyday life.

At letsmove.now, we are starting small.

We are not claiming a finished evidence base, a formal policy programme or a portfolio of public-sector pilots.

We will use this space to publish observations, questions, emerging patterns and lessons as we encounter them.

Where useful, we also want to connect those signals with institutions interested in exploring them through conversations, briefings, experiments and small pilots.

Our working premise is simple:

AI adoption and human agency should be able to advance together.

So alongside the question:

“How quickly can we adopt AI?”

we want to keep asking:

“Are people gaining the ability to learn, decide, create and contribute as the system changes?”

This is our starting point, and we will keep updating it as we learn more.
